This Hot Topics session focused on a range of topics impacting on governance in the Summer term of 2020. Rather than focus specifically on the impact of the Coronavirus on the process of governance, which has been covered extensively in other webinars, we explored elements of governance which will be relevant to the work of governing boards this term.

We explored the impact of meeting in a virtual environment on preparation, participation and engagement, and ensuring clarity of understanding for all participants. We also reflected on how current Department for Education guidance on governance during the Coronavirus school closures, should inform the process of agenda setting.
