Better Governor webinar - New to Chairing 22nd August

This Better Governor webinar is aimed at those governors who are; new to chairing, about to take up the role of chair, and vice chairs considering the role. The session is equally relevant for those in maintained schools, academies or free schools. We will focus on the role of the chair and key aspects of this including effective working with the headteacher and clerk to the governing board, as well as reflecting on how the chair provides strong leadership within the expectations that government has of the role. The webinar will be facilitated by our two governance experts; Steve Barker and Linda Waghorn and will be a mix of expert input, opinion polls and the opportunity to ask questions.
