  • The challenges of leadership and building resilience.
  • How to influence others and build trust.

All participants are expected to engage in the online Chairs’ Network, where they are encouraged to reflect on their learning, share practice, and ask and respond to questions.

  • Evaluation of effectiveness.

It is an opportunity to draw together the learning from the whole programme and ensure everyone understands what is required from the assignment.

WRITTEN SUBMISSION

To complete the programme each delegate will be required to produce an action plan to demonstrate their learning from the programme and how they expect this to impact on their chairing practice and the effectiveness of the governance within their setting.

The programme comprises a variety of learning opportunities that allow some individualisation. Participants will experience a number of different ways of learning throughout the programme.

The success of the programme is reliant on participants taking control of their own learning. They need to be self-motivated, inquisitive and focussed on improving their knowledge and skills. The programme affords significant flexibility to mix and match a variety of resources provided by or accessed through Better Governor. We actively encourage participants to enrich their learning by networking with others on the programme and sharing best practice.

What does it cost?

Cost £300, with £50 refund on successful completion.

As this is a chargeable programme, you will need to obtain the approval of the Chair of the Governing Body/Trust Board, and the CPD leader in your school or academy before registering for the programme.
