This webinar for Clerks explored the role of the professional clerk in supporting the Governing Board through the current COVID-19 pandemic and the associated school closures. The function of governance continues albeit it in a different form and it is vital that information continues to be shared with board members, who continue to be responsible for making key decision. We will consider the clerks role in facilitating virtual board meetings, 'chair's action', and the implementation of a cascade system of board leadership should you chair and vice chair become unavailable.
 

The webinar was facilitated by our governance and clerking expert, Linda Waghorn and will be  a mix of input from her, combined with real-time polls.
