The governance of Equality (Recorded December 2021)

The governance of Equality

This webinar focused on the role and responsibilities of governance in maintained schools and academies, for ensuring that their schools and trusts comply with legislation.  The 2010 Equality Act protects individuals from discrimination or unfair treatment on the basis of personal characteristics, such as age, special needs etc. and has considerable application within schools. We explored the key aspects of compliance and share best practice on how governors should seek assurance that their schools comply with all aspects of the law.

The webinar was facilitated by our two governance experts; Steve Barker and Linda Waghorn, and was a mix of input from them, combined with in-session polls and the opportunity for you to have your questions answered in real time.
